Free play is the basic right of every child. We value allowing children the freedom to play without predetermined rules or guidelines. Free play is unstructured, voluntary, child-initiated, creative and improvised. Unstructured play allows children to engage in open-ended play that has no specific learning objective. It gives children a sense of freedom and control, allows them to make their own decisions, to learn about themselves and what they like and don’t like, and make mistakes without feeling any pressure of failure. Documenting, reviewing and discussing the experience during the sharing session reinforces learning by consolidating experiences, re-organizing new knowledge and strengthening the skills acquired.
